Dr. Michael E. Pruett

Dr. Pruett built the General Practice Residency (GPR) program at MCG to one of, if not the premiere, GPR programs in the entire country. In addition to this, Dr. Pruett works in his private practices in Americus and Cordele — having served as the director of the GPR Program at the Medical College of Georgia School of Dentistry in Augusta, Georgia since 1998.

As a general dentist, Dr. Pruett’s practice focuses primarily on oral surgery, implant, and comprehensive general dentistry including the use of intravenous (IV) conscious sedation, as licensed by the state of Georgia. His primary concern and commitment is to maintain the overall dental and oral health of his patients. In order to provide the highest quality of care for his patients, Dr. Pruett is not only current with the latest advances in dentistry by attending many continuing education courses, meetings, and workshops, but he also is an instructor of continuing education at many of the aforementioned.
